Jasmin Wachau ist Doktorandin und wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin an der Juniorprofessur für internationales Verwaltungsrecht und Völkerrecht. Ihre Forschungsgebiete umfassen Internetregulierung, Menschenrechte und Rechtsvergleichung. Neben ihrer Dissertation arbeitet sie als Redakteurin beim Völkerrechtsblog und der Zeitschrift „Verfassung und Recht in Übersee“.
Ihr Promotionsprojekt mit dem Titel „Towards Quasi-Judicial Self-Empowerment? An Analysis of the Meta Oversight Board“ stellt die Hypothese auf, dass das Board aktiv versucht, seine institutionellen Beschränkungen zu überwinden, indem es verschiedene Techniken einsetzt, um Autorität und Unabhängigkeit zu etablieren
Jasmin Wachau is a doctoral researcher and research fellow at the Assistant Professorship of Public International Law and International Administrative Law at the University of Erfurt. Her research focus spans across areas such as internet governance, human rights law, and comparative law.
Next to her doctoral studies, she works as an editor at Völkerrechtsblog and World Comparative Law. Her PhD project, titled „Towards Quasi-Judicial Self-Empowerment? An Analysis of the Meta Oversight Board“, hypothesizes that the Board employs various techniques to establish authority and independence, thereby attempting to overcome its institutional restraints.
