Jakob Nennmann is a doctoral researcher in the “De-Globalization and Global Decoupling (DeGlobE)” doctoral programme at the University of Erfurt, funded by the Hans Böckler Stiftung. His dissertation investigates the “Intelligence-Industrial Complex” and the integration of private intelligence companies into intelligence services. His research focuses on the relationship between the state and capital, transnational hybrid spaces of power, and the implications of these developments for sovereignty and democratic oversight. Empirically, the project compares the case clusters USA–Palantir–Europe and Israel–NSO Group–Middle East. Jakob studied International Relations at the University of Erfurt and Global Politics & Society at the Università degli Studi di Milano.
